Thanks for posting - one of the true 'story-telling' classics. Belongs right up there with songs like American Pie, Taxi or Piano Man. If you were brought up in or near NYC in the 50's like I was, this song will always cause you to reflect ... and might even bring a tear.

This song has been on my I-pod since I've had it ... a beautiful song, sung by a woman with a beautiful voice. Poetry Man will forever be a classic - a sad passing for a great woman, especially when we learn of how she cared for her daughter all these years. Rest In Peace, Ms. Snow.
