Not so much 'ripped off', but there is a certain similarity between Van Morrison's Moondance , and Cole Porter's 'nice to come home to', but i do take your point.

Why do the aussies talk funny? Their accent used to be very manly, now almost all the sentences they use end with an inflection usually reserved to suggest a question. Are we seeing the Americanisation of the Aussies way of speaking ?
