The "best" argument is tough. "Best for me" is - best for me. Caruso sang in the 20th century, so it's hard to say Lanza's Canio was better. Lanza's version is astonishing, and he sang with as much heart and emotion as anyone. I like Pavarotti's, Placido's is riveting, but I love DiStefano's....
