The outside appearance of the sturmgewehr certainly makes you think that the AK is a simple copy, but the inside of the Stg and AK are certainly different. Make sure to check out a weapon inside and out to differentiate them :)

Nice, but you can be faster by using the thumb from your left hand after inserting the mag to cock the AK, will make the reload even quicker; Russian soldiers (most of them) are trained to do it that way

Games-wise, Medal of Honour tend to be the most realistic in regards to firearms. Also Battlefield 3 get the names and usually features right.

Just btw, thats a nice mod you got there, if you're in America be happy you can go get a real kalashnikov and be the owner of one fine weapon

Being Aussie I too have a slightly biased view on the SAS. They are without a doubt the second best in the world. I consider SAS to be just on par with Spetsnaz ONLY because they have more varied operations than spetsnaz.

There's a number of groups left out. Even though it's your opinion (thanks for putting in the SASR btw [I'm aussie]) the spetsnaz (in more than just my opinion) are the absolute best in the world. As much as the SAS (british) are practically supermen, what I and other soldiers have seen from them...

personally I'd go with the K98k not just cause it's my favourite WWII weapon, but because I'd be shooting from a further distance and the garand is definately good, but semi-auto's never really match the accuracy of a bolt-action rifle.

although in closer fighting I'd want the garand, semi-auto ...
