You can tell that she feels SO much better after you helping her to stretch those muscles out. I work on this with my pony and it really makes a difference in how he works.

I love how you are not afraid to use a whip. I have to use one with my haflinger while longing and I get some serious backlash from several people about it even though I am using it correctly. Thank you for supporting all of us who need whips with our horses.

I commend you on finding saddles that fit their backs! I have a pony that it was terribly tough to find a saddle for due to him being bred to pull carts and not to ride.

I can completely understand the use of popping your horse in the cheek like that if its gonna bite you or is truly invading your space, but while he's just standing there like that its ridiculous.

Channel weaves are what helped my dog to finally get it. use cheese or chicken. a very high value food for your dog. you start out with a wide channel and as your dog gets better you just make that channel narrower and narrower until they are straight weaves.

@ferociousgumby I know on the TWH mare that I ride I could hold a glass of water without spilling it (if she neck reined) and by the looks of this horses gait I bet he could too! Its just getting that whole coordination thing down... Its a whole new world when you go this fast on a horse!

what do you people have against quarter horses? every breed serves a purpose in its own right. I love TWHs and quarters just because a horse doesn't carry its head high does NOT mean it is ugly or boring.

I worked with a mare who had a bad habit of bucking. she was having to be ridding with curb chain and martingale. We learned however that longing her beforehand in full tack (sweaty buttcheeks point haha) and letting her rest for about 5 mins before riding her helped out A TON.
