Vietnam was a strange war. Short violent bursts followed by long periods of boredom. All this was wrapped in heat, humidity, bugs, snakes, lizards, and a tough little enemy. I would take it over the crap in Afghanistan any day.

Much of the music today has little or no creativity - it is put out there to turn a dollar. Popular music has fallen prey (like everything else) to greed. The late 50s to the early 70s saw the Renaissance of pop music and the Beatles were part of that.

To think we used to have reenactments with over 1000 infantry in a very pristine site. It is sad to see what it has become - this is why the public does not support this hobby anymore. It is sad to think I restored Endview to this end.

I was there - this film is ludicrous. I would have loved to put these guys for about 10 minutes and then see if they "love it". We lost many lives in this stupid action - we gave it right back a short time later. Politics and war do not mix - Look at Afghanistan.
