LOL, he missed at least 2 shifts completely and was bouncing it off the rev limiter when he should have been shifting and he still got the fastest time ever recorded on a production car...on production tires. He (or someone else) could definitely improve greatly on this time.

In this issue of Car and Driver magazine the ZR1 ran 11.7@127 and the Viper ran 11.8 @ 128. In fact, all 4 cars were nearly identical to 60, nearly identical to 100mph and to the 1/4 mile as well. The Lambo had a slight advantage with it's AWD. Good issue - same track, same day, same pro drive...

It's so funny to hear people say "But ZR1's run low 11's!! LOL. In reality, (go to your local track and you'll see) they run mid to high 11's with a *very good* driver. With an average driver they run 12s. And no, that one BS track in Maryland doesn't count. Bone stock (stock tires) they go...

Insideline tested a bone stock one and got 581whp. Look up 2009 viper dyno and watch it here on youtube. This is what stock Vipers make at the wheels. Stock ZR1's are typically about 30-50whp less.

Was this car 100% bone stock, or were there any mods? What was the temp in the dyno room? Details?

ZR1 = almost identical times to the new 600hp Viper. However, Car and Driver (same track, same day, same driver) got 11.7 @ 127 for the ZR1 and 11.8 @ 128 for the Viper. (non ACR). Dyno for the stock Viper = 581whp (done by inside line) haven't yet seen the one for the ZR1 by insideline.

Stock Zr1s run 10s!? In what universe? Maybe at that one track in Maryland after 687,000 tries. Every magazine I've seen with professional drivers in perfect weather conditions clocked mid 11s at 125-129mph. They dyno at around 520-540whp.
