SOCEX, 15th MEU Realism Unit The Special Operations Capable Exercise (SOCEX) consists of seven missions divided into four days. They would take place on consecutive Sundays. The missions are based on a list of missions that an MEU must be capable of. This list was adapted to the 15thMEU and the Arma2 Combat Simulation Environment. Some of the missions would be Rapid Staff Planning (R2P2) operations where the target is not known until only a few hours before the operation itself. MEU's need their SOC(Special Operations Capable) designator before they are allowed to go onto deployment. So with the following videos, the 15th MEU Realism Unit hopes to prove to you that they have earned their SOC designation instead of just throwing it on like many other groups like to do.
