It's all one.
This world is a dream, an illusion. It was built for
us, so that we (eternal souls) could grow. So that we
could learn what we are not (list all sins/vices/whatever).
There is no evil, just souls that are either too young to
see the truth, and those who chose to play the role of
what we see as "the bad guy". We're bound in this circle
of life until we see, nay, become the truth we know.
We're not alone here, even though it might appear so.
The only reason you might not be able to see, is because
you have your eyes closed.

The funny thing about this dream is that you can't skip
stages. If someone tries to tell you something you're not ready for (including what I'm saying now), you'll deny it, or you'll be unable to grasp it. You have to experience it in your own life in order to see it. Even though this will sound unfair and elitistic, you can tell the difference between the young and the old souls. It is the young souls
that will fight this very concept I've explained to their
last breath, and that is okay. We're all headed the same direction.

I like to think of myself as an observer.

I was indoctrinated to time travel at a very young age, thanks to video games like Day of the Tentacle, and movies such as Back to the Future, and have thus grown up knowing the fact that our way of life is not the way it has always been- nor is it how it will always be. People who haven't are unknowingly trapped in this time in history, thinking it is the epitome of humanity. But, how are we different than people 100 or 200 or 500 or 1000 years ago, thinking "This is the pinnacle of civilizaiton, life as we know it will be like this forever" only to see many inventions, discoveries, and tragedies and losses take place in their lifetime? Imagine 100, 200, 500, or 1000 years from now when people look back and wonder how in the world we could take our tanning beds, plastic surgery, excessive and compulsive consumerism, and even our rivaling political parties seriously.

Because of this, I can't look at our own generation without seeing it through the eyes of the future of humanity. So, I cannot connect with the norms of our cultures today: The obsession with sports, parties, and the rampant sexuality (Got to bang every chick around), or especially the need to work a steady job so you can find a woman who will have your children, just so you can teach them that they need to work a steady job so that they can find a woman who will have their children... etc.

The worst part is, I cannot find a woman who shares these views.

It's sad that I will probably die alone with this knowledge, because no one wants to think they aren't doing things right, or at least doing things the way we are "supposed" to. This time in history is not the be all end all of life; it will change. Dramatically. In ways you can't think of. We are not doing things the way we are "supposed" to- there is no exact one thing that Humans were meant to do with their life;

The only constant is that we are all human.

The future does not yet exist, therefore it does not exist.

The past no longer exists, therefore it does not exist.

The present is an infinitely small instant that is ever-changing, passing from moment to moment, therefore it does not exist in any manner which can be statically defined and described.

So the passage of time is meaningless, and only our perception of the immediate instant is useful, but as soon as we perceive it, it is gone.
