A successful professional man, from my headline you might think I have a wild streak. Nothing could be further from the truth, though my story could have gone either way. I'm living proof that success can come from less than perfect situations if you want it badly enough. With a wide variety of interests, a stable career that I love, and a solid direction in life, from my perspective the future looks bright. So I'm hoping to meet a very special woman with similar interests and values to spend time and have fun with. Am I looking for a long term relationship? Down to earth, and easy-going, I enjoy the lifestyle my career allows, but it hasn't always been that way. Born and raised in the poor neighborhood of Flatbush Brooklyn, as a kid I had to learn to fight, and as a teen to stay out of jail -- or the ground. That wasn't the life vision I had for myself however, and hard work and motivation moved me out of "the hood," away from bad schools, and into a career that enables me to feed my loved ones. It is what it is -- but it becomes what you make of it. A responsible and reasonable man willing to talk things out, I'm understanding, level-headed, and supportive. The thing is, I look for and expect those same qualities in those I care about. Attentive and affectionate, I love to go out on the town and do nice things, but I'm up for an occasional night at home cuddling on the couch. The woman I'm looking for is intelligent, confident, financially responsible and accomplished in her own right. Capable of giving me good advice, I've always believed that behind every good man is a smart woman, so I'm careful and selective of the person I trust there. I would expect the same from her. Attractive and passionate about all things important to her, she is stylish and comfortable in every situation. I can see her in jeans and a t-shirt cheering with me at a ballgame, or "dressed to the nines" in a sassy little red number for a night on the town. She's ambitious, but funny, a "go-getter" who knows what she wants, is willing to talk things out and compromise. Upbeat, and positive, everything about her suggests that she is happy in life. Genuinely a good person, she is respectful of everyone, whether she knows them or not, and has no place in her life for those who are small minded or mean-spirited. All these things rolled up into one dynamite lady that I would like to invest some time getting to know better! Bonus points if she has long hair!

For six years I've loved what I do as Fire Safety Director overseeing state/local regulations concerning fire prevention. Controlling the Fire Command Center, I'm also in charge of Fire Brigades and Fire Wardens.
Interests
Active and energetic, I work out about five times a week and love to attend New York sporting events. Sometimes you might find me at the River Café Restaurant by the pier. Other times I may be playing basketball, pool, or having a quiet night in.
