Hey guys and girls, I just want to let everyone know a little bit about me. My full time gig is caring for the sick and injured. I've been in EMS for 22 years, I've been a paramedic for the last 16 years. I just recently celebrated 20 years at my F.T. job (AMR in Evansville, IN). I take so much pride in my work in the fact that I was born and raised in this town. I provide the highest level of care to ALL of my patients. No matter what the diversity.I've been married for going on 26 years and I wouldn't trade my life or my age for anything in this big old world. My wife is my very best friend. When people ask "How do you guys do it?" I always say, "You have to smile about the small stuff that won't matter tomorrow." Of course marriage isn't that simple, it's a lot of hard work. When you say "I do"....you have to work at it every day. Never threaten the "D" word, and never go to sleep mad at one another.
I want to thank my mother and father for giving me the gift of music. It all started one day back in 6th grade. I wanted to be in the band at school, they surprised me with a brand new trumpet, and I've played music ever since. I've been writing lyrics I believe all my life, poems to girls, and seriously for the past 12 years. I have a file of 100 songs/lyrics that I've compiled through the past 12 years, but I only work on two or three at a time of course.
Just over a year ago my wife and friends pushed me to get my songs out of that file in my head and get it out for others to enjoy. I tried first on Myspace doing only audios. I had a lot of fun with that, but I needed more. I then found the video world, Youtube and Watchevansville (a local video source). I never dreamed that anyone would ever listen to my songs. The response that I have received may seem lame to others, but to me, it's the coolest thing I've ever done with my music. When someone comments about how they where "Truly touched by my lyrics." Then I was successful!!
I just wanted everyone to know a bit about me and to give thanks to all my Youtube friends/subscribers. You guys are my co-workers, life long friends, family, and most of all, my inspiration!!
@freetickeys Thanks so much for the comment...you're very kind to take the time to listen!!
