@MrShawnsquatch You're right, it's not necessary, but 1) it looks better, 2) it's easier to clean if you choose to do so, and 3) in case of rain, the fire pit won't flood.

@kqr147 I think if your breaks are centered, this manuever would center the brakes as well... if your tire is off... it might be bent... in which case.. just loosen the breaks... or maybe you can check to make sure when you put the tire in to the fork that it's aligned that way. hope that helps.....
