I am currently learning Baguazhang (Sun Zhijun lineage) in America, and I have had experience with Taijiquan and Xingyiquan. But as I watch the elementary lessons Master Wong teaches, I find so much that is useful, even though I do not practice Yong Chun. Many of the techniques at first looked a bit strange to me, but when Master Wong began explaining about the lines of the body, how to shift, and how to watch for your opponenet's center as s/he moves, I immediately made the connection to many techniques of Xingyi.
i have to say that Master Wong is perhaps one of the three best teachers I have ever seen. I really appreciate that he not only is adept at taolu, but he understands his art well enough to put to effective use in real combat situations. This is a rare skill that I do not often see.
