Well, that's not entirely true. The film has a number of differences from the book, as any film adaptation has, and the book was based on Ed Gein, so it wasn't a completely original idea to begin with. So it is Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho because it's his retelling of the story.

I don't remember if it was this year or last year, but a girl did that terminal velocity jump and fell straight to the ground and landed on her back because the guy forgot to put the net up. She survived, but i can't imagine what that would have felt like. True story.
