1 Corinthians 8:5 Is not saying that there are many gods in heaven.Rather Paul was addressing the gods of the pagans.Residing in heaven here is speaking of the second heaven.In the Jewish faith there are 3 heavens.The first is the atmosphere.The second is space and the third is where God lives. Pual was speaking of the sun god,moon god as well as reference is made to the celestial deities, or to those who were supposed to reside in heaven, though they were supposed occasionally to visit the earth, as Jupiter, Juno, Mercury, etc.
