far exceeded any logistical improvements they made in D2. Unfortunately D3 has continued on the path of its predecessor which has completely disassociated these two games from the original.

Jerusalem was a placeholder or a religious epithet, it is quite possible that when the old writers mentioned Jerusalem that they had the city known as Constantinople in mind as Constantinople was a premier city for a long period of time.

I agree that Jerusalem was a placeholder rather than the actual name of the city in question, if the city even had a name at all rather than just 'the city' or 'the capital'. It is important to note that the word Jerusalem is in fact a religious epithet.
