personally i dont think that mapusarus would have hunted like this. what would seem more realistic is that the theropods would have made deep,slashing wounds in the suaropod and wait till it weakens from blood loss and shock and then go in for the kill.great white sharks use the same stradegy.

@bladesofice63 well i doubt that sabre tooth cats hunted in packs. almost evrey big cat alive hunts alone.but still a sabre tooth would be a match for a short faced bear

i dont think ONE kick from t-bird could kill a wolf. wolves are tougher then your think. ive seen a 2,00 bound bison kick a grey wolf in the back,directly in the spine and it recovered in seconds to continue the hunt. youd be amazed on how durable a wolf can be.

i dont understand why people think andrewsarchus had "hooves". they only found the top half of the skull and a few vertabrae

@mopargears yes but having bone-crushing jaws is good when your hunting heavily amroured prey,such as the hornless rhinos and giant armadilos of that time period.plus short legs are usually more powerfull then long legs. speed is not always neccesary to be an efficient predator.

sorry folks.nature can be cruel. hyeanas are the only animals that eat there prey alive commmonly. african wild dogs kill there prey in a similar fashion but they are disemboling it that means they are rapidly tearing out its entrails. its not as horrible as it sounds death usually takes under 3 ...
