as far as I know you only eat them after the first frost. What it does to the fruit I'm not sure, but it does something. We a few persimmon trees here around the farm : ) This one time I ate one. It was good.

Agreed, if he would have threw a "hunted" (deer, squirrel, rabbit, ext.) animal off of a cliff then no one ever would have said anything. this whole thing is overblown. Im not saying that it is normal to throw an animal off of a cliff, but it is only a freaking animal my gosh people, he was read...
