I think it's a bug. Bliz either needs to 1. Not able to splash enemy units by attacking own units or 2. Make colosi deal friendly splash damage.

Husky, Entertainment + balance terms = Disaster. This is why the game is still not balanced is because Dustin Browder tried to put the two together and well.....now we have SC2...xD
