hello 117piethitman, thankyou for the question. the term 1065 carbon steel means that it has 65% carbon inside the blade, the higher the carbon the stronger it is, but if the carbon is too high, then it could shatter on impact the lower the carbon the more likely it could get cut through. 1065 won't hold as long as 1095 thats my gues, but i suppose the question is how often will you be using the blade. i don't have any expierience with 1065 carbon steel swords, but i could find out.
