If you press the home button on the Wii remote, it'll bring up a menu where you should be able to turn the speaker off, which forces the game to send it through the cables with the rest of the sound instead. If there's no option to turn it off entirely, turning the Wii remote's volume all the way...

in the game, the vocals fade in and out depending on your proximity to Devola. Making a karaoke version entirely possible. Someone just needs to rip it from the game, because only the versions with vocals are on the soundtrack.

He didn't need the power of the claw because he was using an emulator with savestates. If this were run on a real console it'd be near impossible as there would be no way to manipulate luck until you got through without buying tons of lives.

I take back the two years part. It was actually 1 year 2 months. The years alone aren't accurate enough when a game is released in December, as was the case for WKC1 in Japan.
