if this was england's full-strength team, i would say it was a very poor performance. however, it was not. there was no ferdinand, no terry (as much as he is scum he is a very good defender), no cole, no rooney, and gerrard (who probably should be captain and really got the shaft IMO) was injured...

i think a big reason our midfield players havent felt the freedom to attack as much is that they dont have the reassuring presence of lucas backing them up....
