My daughters thought High School Musical was the first musical for school kids. Then I showed them this movie.. Now they think I went to high school in the 1950s. I had to explain to them that it came out over 20 years after the time period in the movie.

This is a great song, but it’s not really about marine life. It’s about survival. I know people who listen to it when they’re feeling down, or under the weather, and it helps them feel better. In college I made a short film about Holocaust survivors and used this song for the opening credits.
