I have heard this song with English Lyrics under the title of "how soon hello becomes goodbye " by the english singer Jenny Darren. Released in the early '70s. You can still find it on ebay
With some proper singing lessons I'm sure the vibrato could be controlled. Its all down to breathing techinique
