I prefer Mort when she's reading in her own language - Gudiškai - as her English sounds too forced, too Amerikonkiškai as a calque, lacking the subtlety and supple qualities that marked her earlier poems. If anything, Mort should listen closely to how Ėvtušenko still rattles and shakes the world ...
