I came up with the idea of starting 100BlackFamiles because I found that there are no sites that really support black families/marriages or give couples a place to see what they are in for once they decide to get married. I also got tired of hearing negative stereotyps like the black family is dead or is the black family a dinosaur. I found it disheartening when I came to youtube and I found so many channels showing blackmen and blackwomen fighting each other on who is worse.

Through experience of my own marriage I would like to share with others what it has taken me and my husband to make our black family work. Now we are not perfect and I am no professional, but we are a positive black family keeping it together.
