Actually there are different news feeds ingame.
There is global which goes to every world.
There is friends which when you achieve something like all stats 80+, or get a drop.
Then there is world news, where only people on your world see the achievement.

Seems fake, first he isn't even wearing comp cape, then when he realizes that items are dropped on death he doesn't even put protect item on or overhead prayers. I would think someone with completionist cape has been at least exposed to lures or the wild and would have some common knowledge.
All weapons will lose their special attacks! Search this quick find code on the Runescape forums to see Jmods confirming it. Look at pg 2 and 3 for info!
