Asalamu3aleykum Wara7matullah Wabarakatu

Support your ummah!These are some of the methods to wage Jihad against the enemy. Strive to act and call others to act according to these methods.

1. Having the Right Intention - You must have the will to fight in the way of Allah (s.w.t) To fight the oppressors and defend the oppressed, to defend this religion and establish the Word of Allah (s.w.t) the Uppermost. We are commanded to love each other for the sake of Allah (s.w.t) and to live united regardless of tribe, nation, or geography understanding that the blood of all believers is equal. And out of this love you should have the urgent desire to answer the cries of brothers and sisters in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Chechnya and else where. And in your heart must be seething hatred of the despicable enemies of Islam and burning desire to avenge the blood of the Martyrs 8:73 The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.

You have to decide for yourself if you really intend to forsake this contemporary life of worldly goods and luxury enjoyment, detaching yourself from materialistic ambitions and goals, understanding that the Junnah described in the holy Qur'an is better than anything in the Dunya. Everything we behold with our 5 senses is but an examination to us, so swear an oath to yourself this day vowing never sell your soul for all the goods of the world, allowing yourself to be fooled by the devil's treachery. For those to whom love of money and luxury is second nature, it can be a difficult exam for them to denounce life of the Dunya and invest in the Akhirah (Hereafter). However great this exam may become to you, it is guaranteed that the reward will be infinitely greater. You cannot set about for Jihad only to be known and remembered by man as a Mujahid, thereby seeking only the admiration of man while having no belief in Allah (s.w.t) (Nifaq -Munafiqoon, hypocrites who seek admiration of man and blend in with true Muslims). And you cannot ascribe worldly matters such as politics, personal affairs, or any prejudices, to why you are fighting in Jihad (Shirk - Mushrikoon) and be firm in your intention to fight only for His sake.

You have to be willing to make any sacrifice that you may incurr, for the sake of Allah (s.w.t) and do so not with fear and cowardice but with great zeal, courage and eagerness to please our Lord, understanding that any sacrifice no matter how heavy is rightfully asked of us. You have to understand that your fellow man (the Taghoot) is never worthy of fear. When you meet the enemy in battle, understand that by killing you he can only deprive you of the life which is short for all of us, by torturing your mind and body he can only direct you away from the torment of Jahannam, and even by going after your family and those you love and who love you, he can only make them a martyr. And the ultimate fate of his own would be much worse than any horror he possibly can perpetrate against you. "What befell you, you could not avoid. And what you avoided could not have befallen on you." Understand that striving in Jihad does not hasten or delay death.

2. Praying to Allah to award you with martyrdom. Just to simply offer Du'a that you may be among the Shuhadah (Martyrs) is very beneficial.

3. Jihad with your wealth. Today Man is in need of Jihad and Jihad is in need of money, support the Mujahideen with your wealth. The reward would be much better than any worldy object money can buy.

4. Fundraising for the mujahideen. Call on others to do the same, and inspire them by making yourself an example.

5. Financing a Mujahid.

6. Taking care of the family of Mujahid. Honour the sacrifice of a Mujahid by looking after the family he left as if they were your own family. He left for Jihad because he understood that all Muslims are his brothers and sisters in Islam, whom he sought to defend. You likewise should understand the family of a Mujahid is like your own family which you have to look after.

7. Sponsoring the family of a shaheed.

8. Sponsoring the familiies of the prisoner of war.

9. Paying your zakah to the mujahideen.

10. Contributing to the medical needs of the mujahideen. This especially addresses those with medical training or expertise in the medical field. Their skills are invaluable.

11. Providing Moral suppport and encouragement for the mujahideen. Write letters of support and appreciation and send charity to the brothers who have fallen to enemy hands who are in detention, may Allah ease their suffering and hasten their release. Ameen. Be supportive and encouraging of all those who left to meet the enemy in battle.
