I LOVE the way they did this scene. It was so perfect it gave me the chills. It still gives me the chills every time I watch it. Best scene in POA by far :)

@shortpielover I think they knew how to do it and everything it's just that the girl wasn't usually a flyer. I don't recommend stunting on the beach without a coach either though, I think you can actually get in trouble for that if you get hurt.

@DreamNbelieveGYMNAST it's funny that you say that because we had a girl on our cheer team who was in gymnastics when she was younger, and she always threw her tucks that way. I didn't know how she did it haha.

on your scale though, try grabbing lower on your leg, more towards your knee, that way you can straighten it out and look as flexible as you are! :)

@theaj679 probably because she had so many difficult passes in the beginning, and she had a big one right before the pyramid. She wouldn't have made it in time to be in most of it. She probably could have, but a break was probably better :)

That was really gorgeous except for the bent scale. She looks flexible enough to straighten her leg. But everything is so sharp, and nothing bobbled at all!!

I agree, her flexibility is awesome but the backspot is basically holding her up for the whole bow and arrow. Still really really good for a 5 year old. and her tumbling is good for any age.

wow. I thought Alpharetta was amazing but this blew me away AND was cleaner. They had a few mistakes too but they were minor, like a girl pausing after a cartwheel in a cartwheel tuck, or slight timing issues with the flyer's positions.

They did a good job keeping their spirits up even though that girl wiped out.... was she okay?

I think they're pretty cool looking, but our coach doesn't like them lol.

All the cheer handbooks I've ever read describe this as a needle. The straight legged scorpian everyone is talking about is decribed as a spike. But I think vaneCRAZYxD is right, in gymnastics terms this is a needle. In cheer terms it is not.
