Personally, just based on 13months in a hagwon and looking at year in GEPIK, the NETS who want to make it can do so but they'll have to become teachers for real, not just "instructors" or "guest teachers" et cetera. Everyone has to make their own way... Personally, I really regret not coing out ...

The most important thing with switching jobs is probably to leave on a good note. I was at a hagwon which I quit at the end of contract, stepped it up for the last two months and they were not reluctant to write recommendations later.
