Hello everyone. If you're just visiting for the first time, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Robert Healy.
You probably know me better as HealyHQ
here on youtube.
The account you see here was my very first one. The first time I ever made a youtube account - 09rhealy.
I closed this Youtube account over a year ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember that everyone I thought was my "friend" at the time, didn't really give a crap about me. Figuring that out really upset me. I was depressed, up to the point where I became completely sick of Youtube, and the internet in general. So around mid-January 2008, I had the account closed.
Today, I started thinking about when I first joined Youtube, and the people I used to hang with here. I remembered my first -real- friends here, and all the good times we had. It was very nostalgic. Looking back into the past, I realized that, even though some terrible things happened and people were pretty cruel before, there really were GOOD times. And those good times, overshadowed the bad.
So I got the crazy idea to bring my old account back. I figured it was a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. I emailed the Youtube admin early this morning (about 6am early). I received a reply today around 1:30pm, saying that my account was reinstated. I was shocked - I honestly didn't think they could get it back after so long! But they did.
I looked into my inbox and found myriad messages from the past. It was a real trip down Memory Lane, that's for sure. I remembered so many people...it was astounding. Half of them I haven't talked to since the last day this account was open! And a lot of them, I noticed, had their accounts closed or suspended since then.
Anyway, I'm just so amazed at all of this. So many memories are locked within this account - my first account. Speaking of which, I remember someone asking me why it's called what it is. I guess I'll explain that while I'm thinking about it:
09 = 2009 - the year I graduate high school. (Which happens to be THIS year! WOOHOO!)
r = the first letter of my first name, Robert.
healy = my last name (of course!)
So all together it makes, 09rhealy.
This account was created in August 2007.
It was closed January 2008.
And it has been reborn today; February 2009.
I'm a bit older and a bit wiser since I last logged into this account. I've learned a lot over the past year. And I've gotten over all the things that happened before.
However, since I spend almost all of my time on youtube on my HealyHQ account now (youtube.com/user/HealyHQ), I really don't have any USE for this one...YET!
I'm sure I'll be able to make use of my old account after awhile. But to be honest, I only had it reopened because of the sentimental value this account has to me. I mean, it was my first one. The first step in a long journey through the "interwebs." LOL!
Well, enough of my ramblings. Haha!
Sorry there isn't much to look at right now, but I might think of something to make out of this eventually. Until then, it will remain as is. A placeholder for my precious memories, of a better time...
