Dr. Nagavalli Nagaraj is simply superb; her voice brings out the full-bodied richness of each raga. And of course, Dr. Ganesh's explanations are amazing and his language is so fluid and perfectly put together. I think this is one of my favorite YouTube videos ever!

From the first note to the last, the listener gets the impression that the very purpose of sitar is to play Charukeshi and that the very purpose of Charukeshi is to flow from the sitar. This matching is truly inspired and divine.

Her voice has the most amazing tonal quality and smoothness. I just can't get enough of her soulful music. It really has a richness and fullness.

The beautiful poetry of Jayadeva, set to such a suitable musical score. Her dance is superb and mimes some of the descriptions in the poem, like when her hands move like the bees described in the poem, or like the vines of the creeper plant swaying in the breezes.

This is really very good. She has brought out the full form of this most beautiful of ragas.

She has neither the creativity nor the energy of M.L. Vasanthakumari. Her rendition has a dull, boring, and flat quality.

That instrument is known as the tambura. In North Indian Classical terms, it is called the tanpura, I think.
