Army does pushups for their PFT and Marines do Pullups, just like first to fight said. Different muscle groups different training. What are pushups goin to do for you on the battle field.. but if i need to get over a wall or up a high window or w/e thats why we do pullups

we do not train with gloves it is a little different to throw punches with gloves on if your not used to it. Either way, the training that we go thru is a compiliation of many different martial arts, it is meant for quick fast disabling movements or killing tecniques, boxing is straight punching....
