I think I know the answer to your question. Two possibilities -- no, make that three. First, they have tin ears. Second, they lack functioning brains. Third, both of the above.

All I can tell you is that there IS an orchestral setting of this particular piece because I heard it once on the radio 25 years ago, but I don't know who did it. Kamenoi-Ostrow was written for piano solo. There is another, more superior, rendition for organ posted here on YouTube.

Thank you very much for posting this video. Kamenoi-Ostrow was one of the last pieces I learned when I quit taking music lessons in 1956. I never thought of this piece as an organ solo, but it works magnificently as such. Thank you again for posting.

This song came out around 50 years ago, and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I did so for 2 reasons: First, Marty Robbins. Who could not help but love Marty's singing? The second reason was the trumpets. Those mariachi trumpets add SO MUCH to this song.
