@GG1man My father worked for Amtrak for 42 years... He started back when it was Penn Central. I believe it came off of 4812 that was of course scrapped. I also have a bell of a G but not sure witch one.

@AMGrulz Your right the F40 isnt operational but they train was heading south. The lead diesel the P-40 cannot run in reverse for a long distance since the engineer cannot see where he is going. So that is why the road crew towed the train back to Philadelphia.

@rutaloot The only G even close to running condition is4935 in Strasburg railroad museum. But they cannot run because the transformers in the motors are lined with asbestos. It would be awesome to find a way around it tho!
