The extra backing vocals were thought to resemble Janies Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" too much, so they were told to edit it out.

The reason Paul can't sing BoRhap is because that was the definitive song by Freddie, whereas other songs work with another singer, that never will.

And as for Fire and Water, what's missing: Paul Kossoff.

Still Paul is the best thing for Queen since Freddie died I have to say.

I think it's only on the studio album 'Back to Back'. All other versions (i.e. on compilations) would be the single version and probably have this edited out.
