@JoshuaV033 Please go recheck your casualty numbers for this battle. The Marines suffered 3,301 casualties of which 992 were killed or died of wounds. This battle, per square mile, was one of the bloodiest the Marines have ever fought.

@idonthavealoginname Actually.... the US rocket program was behind the Germans, but certainly not decades. Von Braun brought the guidance technology with Operation Paperclip. Both von Braun and Goddard worked together to design and improve the needed technologies that resulted in the Saturn.

@Altec492 AA armament was only 8 20mm cannon and from 2 - 4 15mm machine cannon. This thing would have been dead fast from medium bombers at low level or fighter bombers like the Typhoon or Thunderbolt. Didn't stand a chance.
