Welcome to my page girlee's. My hair journey' idea' officially started in 2010. I had been thinking about going 'AU NATURAL' for a while but had great reservations. I didn't have the courage to take the step at that time. I was afraid but knew I needed a change. What drove me to the decision was the realisation of which weave/ relaxed hair was not only burning a hole in my pocket with a slap around the face of inconvenience, as will as damaging my hair. This was in every way reinforcing negative values of what beauty consists of for black/women of colour in the UK. I have nothing against females who have weave or relaxed hair I just know it's no longer for me and i will not be a slave to the consumerist market. I choose not to conform, I loved my natural hair when I was younger and I want to embrace my natural hair again.

From one of my video's you will see I had weave/relaxed hair. The video gives insight of where my hair has come from to where it is going. I did the BC July the 11th/12th and i am soooooo happy with my decision. I do have down days 'i know its still early days but most of the time i enjoy my hair and the freedom it has given me. I have re- educated my self about my hair and i hope to carry this on to empower others.

From my Journey i have inspired my mother whom is now taking the journey an enjoying/learning about the process of hair love. Just in case you wanted to know anything else about me I will add that I'm a student currently doing my Masters Degree. I love Life and travelling, if any of you want to exchange tips please do so.
