About this user
First and foremost: I GOT AN EDUCATION.
There are many reasons why I left JWs, but essentially it culminates in one: I did not want to waste my life, like other JWs around me had done, waiting for the New System, and I got out before it was too late to do anything with my life. It took until I was 28 to realize this.
Science (in its broadest sense - a search for knowledge) is, for me, the purpose of life. Discovering, questioning, exploring and questioning some more, IS the journey both for individuals and for us as a species. Our insatiable thirst for knowledge is what makes us stand out from the rest of the animal kingdom.
My journey so far has led me to believe that there is no god, and that the sooner humankind grows-up and learns to accept this, and its mortality, the better; for then they will realize that land and beliefs are not worth fighting or dying for.
I am a TEACHER (and I love it). But my first degree was in PSYCHOLOGY. I hope both of these skills, combined with my experience of life, will be a key asset in helping others to break free. I have much to share, but please be patient with me; teaching is very demanding and time-consuming; this could take years.
