3GS phone. That was it, I used a Q-tip, took most of the cottonie part off and dipped the remaining Q-tip in rubbing alcohol, I then inserted it into the headphone dock a few times cleaning off the senors and tried to clean the charging dock the best I could without jamming the Q tip into the po...

I used a Q-tip, took most of the cottonie part off and dipped the remaining Q-tip in rubbing alcohol, I then inserted it into the headphone dock a few times cleaning off the senors and tried to clean the charging dock the best I could without jamming the Q tip into the port. that fixed the issue...
