I'm getting healthy the natural way... good old fashioned exercise and eating good... no diets, fads or surgery! Simply a change of lifestyle that would benefit me even if I was skinny! I'm eating all natural, eliminating fast food, processed foods, chemical laden foods, refined sugars and refined flours. What's left to eat? All of the yummiest fresh produce, herbs, nuts/seeds, legumes and 100% whole grains I want!!! Along with fish and organic animal products.

Jesus is the strength of my life. I know He's real because of the work He has done and is doing in my life! Jesus says to give our burdens to Him, and He'll give us His easy yolk. Through much prayer, God has enabled me to increasingly crave foods that are good for me. I've tried to lose weight before on my own WITHOUT God's help and it was a huge struggle and I couldn't do it. We are weak on our own. We have so much power in Christ to do everything: get out of bed, get our necessities accomplished, make good choices, be nicer to our family and friends. Best of all, God fills us up with His Holy Spirit which gives us joy through both life's ups and downs. We don't have to work toward becoming joyful, it's a by-product of God's work in us. The Bible says: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." How do we reap those good fruits in our lives? Well, the good news is that we don't have to try to become those things. God will give it to us freely if we ask for it and ask God to be in our life. Why do we want to invite Jesus into our life? Because He wants to love us and know us, He wants to be good to us and be our friend, and because we are lost without Him. Sin eats at your soul. God sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross and to be a sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus can free you from the sins that are destroying your life. There is freedom in Christ! Just call upon Jesus name, believe in Him and invite Him into your life, talk to him (pray), turn away from your sins. Then, strengthen your relationship (friendship) with Christ -- read your Bible; find a church that teaches from the Bible; fellowship with other Christians; talk to God about everything. He cares about you! Be honest with Him - pour your heart out to Him - He will listen!

Great ways to be encouraged and to encourage others: Pray for your friends & ask them to pray for you; Try listening to uplifting music (KSGN.com for example offers modern, hip and encouraging music for the whole family); Join a care group -- it's a great way to connect to others on a deeper level and care for each others needs while learning more about God. God Loves You!!! He's helped me tremendously! He can help you too!!
