This comparison features the endings of both the anime and manga series, starting with the aftermath of the battle against Galaxia. Not only does the manga show the return to Earth and the reunion, but it also shows Usagi making an important decision. When asked whether she wants to start over again or if she wants to continue living as she is, she replies, "No matter how tough, I want to live this life!" While the anime shows simply a happy ending in which everything has become peaceful again, the manga gives the readers a glimpse of the future through Usagi and Mamoru's wedding. And while the anime ends full circle with the line "I'm Tsukino Usagi...I'm a bit rash and a crybaby," which was Usagi's first line in the first episode, the manga ends with Mamoru's thoughts: "Sailor Moon, you will always be invincible. The most beautiful shining star." These differences suggest that the anime and manga focus on slightly different aspects in their endings. By going full circle, the anime emphasizes that Usagi is still essentially the same girl she was in the beginning, except for the fact that she's now also Sailor Moon. On the other hand, the manga, by showing Usagi's decision to live her life no matter how tough it may be, emphasizes that she has grown into a mature woman. Though her kind heart has not changed, she is no longer a crybaby. Rather, she has truly become a shining star and an invincible soldier. Ending with the wedding and Mamoru's thoughts, the manga also emphasizes the love between Usagi and Mamoru.
THINGS TO NOTE IN THE MANGA:
'Bunny' = 'Usa'
'Darien' = 'Mamo-chan'
'Rini' = 'Chibiusa'
MANGA SCENARIO:
In Act 49, Chibiusa returned from the 30th century to help Sailor Moon fight Galaxia. Later, she disappeared when Galaxia pushed Mamoru into the Cordon.
At the beginning of Act 52, Eternal Sailor Moon, along with Chaos, melted into the Cordon where stars are born so she could save everything.
IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES:
The manga shows Usagi and Mamoru's wedding.
In the manga, the Starlights and Kakyuu are not seen after the battle against Galaxia.
The background music during the manga section is "Forever Love" by Yoshiki.
The images you see are not full manga pages. I split the pages into pieces so that the image can be bigger on the screen, allowing you to read the words more easily. I also excluded the Starlights' departure from the anime portion in order to keep the video below the length limit.
There are websites where you can download the scans of the entire manga series! Please feel free to message me or comment this video to ask for a link to such a website. I'll be more than happy to send it to you!
Appropriately enough, this video will be the final comparison in this anime/manga comparison series. I originally started this project because I wanted to introduce more Sailor Moon fans to the manga. Since the beginning of this series, over a hundred people have asked me for links to websites where they can read the manga. Despite the immense amount of time and energy I used to make these videos, I can truly say that it was a wonderful experience and completely worth it after introducing so many people to the manga. Thank you for all your lovely comments and your endless support!

Apart from the fact that the book and the movie have some differences, I really didnt like Jasper's hair. Since the first time I saw the New Moon trailer, it has always bugged me. I almost cried out aloud 'OMG! Jazzy! What have they done!!!'
Oh, and they turned Jake into a cartoon dog, but everything else was awesome!
I always criticise what I like/love, I watch it so many times that it is almost impossible for me not to find faults in it XP
But the party was pretty coool. =] And everyone at school seemed to manage to find out about the article, including my teachers. :\
Honestly, after watching the trailer for New Moon I'm not completely adverse to the new hair and make-up, and I definitely have a lot of faith in Chris.
Ah, that sounds like a good choice. Sony's usually reliable, and I've actually seen some of our news anchors with them. :P
I never actually got around to reading the manga, and I was actually about to start watching Sailor Moon again the other day, until I realised that the first disk, I think, is in my old desktop...which is with my uncle. sigh. But I've gone through Scrubs and Charmed since then. :D
How have you been?
Yeah it is great :D Im going to be in the same class with my friends ^^
Well I'm going to be a freshman this year :D I signned up for a lot of classes,
Im also taking an honors class this year :3
