I loved them! I think they lasted until 1992 here in Adelaide. Regardless of whether you got the garden salad or chef salad (with sliced ham), you could ask for bacon pieces and get a small sachet of those crunchy imitation bacon things to sprinkle on top.

Yep, an Adelaide thing. I used to frequent the one at Tea Tree Plaza (where Harris Scarfe is now) most, but seem to recall them tending to co-locate with Target stores like Fulham, Newton and Castle Plaza. Arrow and Target, laughs!
