if I had to pick one thing it would be to go head first into Jazz. The freedom that it offers is great and the challenge to get good at it is great. Reading music is really important also...if you cant read music...there are certain gigs you just wont be able to participate in.

Hey, i hope u can do this for me.
I really love your chords progression 2 But im not a great gitarist, and im not great in english Is it possible that u can send me just the name of the chords so i can figure it out on my chord machine? When i look for like an e majour 7 it says totally different things then the things u play so it would really help me! Good job and keep it coming! |

Nice work my friend. I got a request. And I figure you are one who can help fill the bill. I am pretty decent at playing by ear..but sometimes I cannot "hear" and then call the correct chord when subtle changes are made...adding a 9, or a flat6, or 7/9, 13th etc....Can you break down that funky guitar part on Kirk Franklin's "Brighter Day"?? Or if someone else has already did that on here and really got it down- point me there, please.

Thanks for your videos, they are great. I just learned your "sweet guitar chord progression 2" , I can play it slowly but hopefully I can get it up to speed, I'm trying to increase my jazz chord vocabulary.
Could you check out the 'Michael Angelo acoustic guitar medley' I posted and see if you can base a lesson off of some of the jazz progressions that are played in it? He does a cool moving bass progression I'd like to learn. |
