My name is Patrick Alcoke and I will qualify for the U.S. Open Golf Championship by my 31st birthday. I turn 28 in June so this gives me three years. I am your average beginner golfer that used to play when I was younger and has fallen in love with the game after starting to play again earlier this year. I am saying no to my fears that tell me I can't accomplish this goal and just going for it. I have been told "Go for it!" by some and "You're out of your mind!" by others. I'm embracing it all, the believers and the naysayers. And the best part is I'm going to document the whole thing. I'll be posting updates on my game and where it's at, what I'm learning and how I'm playing. I'll be sharing lessons and tips I learn along the way as well as highlighting some of the experiences I have and the people I meet. Everyone reading will have an inside look at what I'm going through on this journey and be with me when I inevitably succeed or fall flat on my face...hopefully the former.
