The University of Michigan Solar Car Team

The University of Michigan Solar Car Team is the largest student project team on campus, involving over one hundred members from all over the University. Twenty years after its founding, the team has built eleven custom solar-electric vehicles and won six National Championships, establishing itself as America's #1 team. The team placed 3rd in the World Solar Challenge this fall and is preparing for the American Solar Challenge this summer and the 2013 World Solar Challenge.
