@mz98snake i agree ... i thought it was a 12s combo for sure with 230kW @ wheels. 1200kg car though. i always read in mags 200kW @ wheels, runs 12.5 etc, but in reality i guess its not that easy .... or im just a crap driver which is more likely it

@equoowe ive had 11 different supercharger and turbo combos in this car. The stock turbo made 125kW @ wheels with just a big front mount and didnt hit full boost until 4200rpm. Thats late for such a small turbo. With the GT3076 with 0.63 + the big blower, im getting full boost around 4300rp...

it definitely flies under the radar. Its getting old now though, so it starting to stand out as there isnt many 87 Coronas on the roads anymore.

This new motor has forged internals - rods, pistons, o-ring block and copper gasket. I ended up fitting an Xtreme drag Clutch - they are in Adelaide, South Australia. it's holding up well

not many people one want them out here in OZ - everyone is crazy about the SR20. The CA is regarded as too small and a bit old, so a waste of effort it seems. Good bang for your buck motor though

the fuel of the future .... around 110 octane, runs cool. my guess is a GT35 on a 2.5L at 1.8bar would be very lucky to make 500whp on normal pump fuel ... so yes E85 is very good

@1ZENKIs13 Its an Australian delivered 1987 Toyota Corona. Originally had a 2.0L NA carby engine, prob 90kW max. In this run it had around 220kW @ wheels at the time, but its not light - it weighs around 1250kg with me in it + full interior, its a street care after all. it would be faster dow...

thanks. yep, $2k for the Corona, $1750 for the front cut, and i used everything i could - even the wiper motor is S13 ... all i had to do was splice in the tail-lights and fuel pump, which i thought would be a lot easier than re-wiring a dash to try and get the speedo, ignition etc working.

i plumbed it back into the turbo inlet now, and its still loud. that blower sure pumps some air.

Still only pump fuel, 98 octane unleaded. Haltech plugin unit for CA18det but with 3 bar map sensor.
