About Me:
I came around quite a bit in my life so far. I was 15 when the Berlin Wall fell (I grew up "behind" the "Iron Curtain". After I got my general and high quality East German education (no fun intended, it was actually better than what West Germany had/has to offer), I got my professional education in business and IT from a Company and Business School in the Western half of the City.
I endured the mandatory military service in the German Army and left the country a few months after that, but not before I started and finished a SAP project for the company that was waiting for me to finish my duty in the Bundeswehr.
I was living for one year in the Eastern part of Switzerland (St.Gallen), but spent a big chunk of my time at the far Western part of the country, in Basel, near the German/French border.
Then I moved to the United States, to Fresno, California.
I got to know many people and different cultures. I saw the collapse of a society and observed consciously the dynamics of the process, cause and effect and the "ugly face" of capitalism without make-up and PR touch-ups.
I experienced deep entrenched conservatism and the protection of traditional catholic values and believes in a country that is world-political neutral and minding mostly just their own business for hundreds of years (next to building global operating Banking, Pharmaceutical and Food Producing empires).
I experienced the openness and at the same time prejudges attitude of the people of the Central Valley in California and met more people from different cultures and countries than I did in all my previous years combined.
At one point in time I did believe that mankind will "blow up" itself and everybody will go to hell, but I adjusted that attitude over the past years and saw hope for humanity as a whole. The recent developments are as dramatic and negative as they are positive and promising. I am not so sure anymore that mankind's future has to be doomed. Maybe it it can be a happy one after all. It is up to us, I guess! Nobody else will help us with this.
