Even though I've always loved great psychedelic, blues, rock, jazz, folk music, it wasn't until college that I truly got to appreciate what it meant to be a free-thinking freak. I believe one of the most important aspects of the music I love and the person I try to be is something that Tuli personifies: IRREVERENCE. Fug the rules, fug the rulers. Fug opression, fug opressors. Fug war, fug the government, fug this, fug that. Thanks Tuli for all the music and rebeliousness.

Tuli- I was introduced to the Fugs many years ago (for me anyway)- that person is now sadly gone. But his frenzied behavior caught my attention at the time- strange how we can be lead upward and onward by those deemed to be crazy. I had a ball, and was glad to have been introduced to the Fugs. Methinks that "The Puking Sphinx" was somehow my favorite. "She could read the future, by reading my palms..."

Wow, I have met many rock stars in my time in the music biz but wow, tuli Kuffberg of the FUGS just asked to be friends. I am pretty knocked out. we were covering "I'm Doing Alright" in my band Laughing Soup Dish in 1982 and have all the orig Lps on ESP ( someone never gave me back my copy of "Golden Filth" about 15 years ago. I no longer lend LPs or Book ( unless to my GF). Tuli you RULI !!!!!!!!!!!!!
