I play the tuba, compose original music for film and television, write, and direct.

I dedicate all of my tuba videos to my late great tuba teacher, Tommy Johnson. His rare character of giving kindness will be missed as much as his wonderful playing. Practically everyone on earth has heard him play tuba in thousands of movies and TV shows, and his fine example as a teacher and gentleman will be remembered by everyone blessed enough to know him personally.

My large horn is a Hirsbrunner 6/4 CC "Yorkbrunner" Grand Orchestral tuba which was handmade in Switzerland. The smaller tuba you see is a Yamaha YFB 621 F tuba, also a handmade instrument.

I also play on a Yamaha Doug Yeo bass trombone and on a Yamaha Xeno 8335RG Bb trumpet.

My acoustic guitar is a Guild and I play Fender electrics.

In the studio I use Logic Audio and Final Cut Pro on MAC computers, although many of my YouTube tuba videos are produced quickly using Windows Movie Maker on my PC, which I use for surfing the web.

	TubaSophmore16 (1 week ago) Hey. I'm an upcoming sophmore in Alabama. I play the Pt - 605 with the mouthpieces Pt - 88 and Pt - 72. I try and use the Pt - 88 when at all possible but for higher register stuff such as the C and Bb above the staff i use my Pt - 72. I was wondering if you could give me advice on what kind of mouthpiece to try for higher register stuff. My private teacher plays a Pt - 64. So just let me know your opinion! Thanks
